Practical information

  1. Anyone who’s interested in joining is eligible. There is no minimum number of cases needed to contribute to the study.
  2. Cases can be entered both retro- and prospectively. All adult patients diagnosed with gallbladder cancer from 2016 onwards can be included.
  3. The database is hosted by CastorEDC, an online, secure, data-management tool which is easy to access and use.
  4. Entering a case can take up to 15 minutes per case, depending on the extent of the treatment the patient receives.
  5. All collaborators will be acknowledged on any manuscript published by the consortium.
  6. Since data-entry may be time-consuming, each center is allowed to add a resident, fellow or data-manager to the study team to aid with data entry. They’ll be mentioned along the local primary investigator on any publications.
  7. All collaborators retain access to their own data for personal use. Additionally, research proposals can be submitted to the study coordinators to request access to the full database. Upon approval, full access may be granted to support your own research questions.
